Blair Dunleavy

Blair and Tedi (Invested Interest) entered the Eventing game together, doing 1st Timers (for both of them!) in 2005. Working their way up, they happily have been at Training level for a few years now. They just started training with Skyeler in 2010 but due to one injury or another, basically had a down year. They’re ready to get back into the game and are hoping for a fun and successful 2012.

Caroline Muller

Caroline and Teddy O'Brien have had a very successful start to their eventing career together. Caroline bought Teddy while Angelica Run was in Aiken in 2011 and have had numerous wins at the Beginner Novice and Novice levels.

Ceci Vollbrecht

Chelsea McClung

Connor Husain

Connor and his horse Folk Lore competed successfully at the Preliminary and 1* level in 2011, and were listed for the Area II Young Riders 1* team. This fall, Connor bought Piece of Hope (Bruno) from Christoffer Forsberg in Germany. Christoff and Bruno competed in the European Young Riders as well as winning the Breda CIC*** in 2011. Connor has hopes of moving up to Intermediate with Bruno and aiming for the 2012 Young Riders 2* team.

Courtney Detore

Ella Rak

Emily Mortier

Emily has been working with Skyeler since she was nearly 5, starting on April and moving up to ride Savannah for a couple years. After taking some time off, Emily has begun training again and now rides Raider. She is mastering her diagonals and beginning jumps and is looking forward to starting shows this spring.

Erin Murphy

Erin came to Skyeler in 2006. Erin and her pony Cocoa were very successful at the Novice and Training level. Erin's partner "Say Wat" (Moose) took her from Training level to the 1* and Intermediate levels. She was 8th at the 2011 Poplar CIC*, completed the Virginia 2011 CCI*, and was the 7th placed Young Rider at the Bromont CCI*. They rounded out their careers together with a 6th place at the Loudoun HT Intermediate. Erin is now assisting Skyeler in teaching and training at Angelica Run, and currently looking for a new young prospect.

Jessie Yates

Skyeler has worked with Jessie over the past year. Jessie and Lily have been extremely successful at the Beginner Novice level qualifying for USPC Nationals this summer and have just recently moved up to Novice.

Kendall Church

Kendall came to Angelica Run in the fall of 2010. She has been free leasing Erica Davis's thoroughbred gelding Casanova for the past three years. Over the past year, they have progressed from Novice to Training level, and are eyeing a move up to Preliminary in 2012.

Krisie Southern

Krisie has had horses at Angelica Run since she was little. Upon graduation from high school she became Skyeler's full-time barn manager, working student, and groom. She competed Skyeler's young horse Argie through the Novice level and took over the ride on Matus in 2010. She went from Novice to Preliminary, ultimately winning the 19-21 year old National 1* Championship at the 2010 Haygard Midsouth Three-Day event. Matus was sold to an adult amateur in Vermont, and Krisie now attends Mary Washington with her young horse Malachi.

Kristin Carpenter

Kristin and Trance have been together for ten years, and have gone from novice through the CCI** levels. After getting a bronze medal at NAYRC CCI* in 2005, Trance was injured in hurricane Katrina and "retired." He was cleared to return to work in May 2010, when Kristin then began working with Skyeler. Over the past year and a half, they successfully progressed from Training level to the Bromont CCI**. Highlights include a 3rd at Pine Top Prelim, a win at the VA Horse Trials Intermediate, third placed adult amateur at the Bromont CCI**, and a sixth place at the American Eventing Championships at Intermediate (and highest place Adult Amateur). Kristin finished 2011 ranked 5th on the adult amateur Intermediate leader board nationally. In 2012, Kristin hopes to move up to Advanced and live to talk about it.

Kristin works with Sallie in dressage on her other horse, Finn. They won multiple times this fall at training and first level. He is currently schooling second level, and Kristin hopes to get her USDF bronze medal on him in 2012, which requires a successful move up to third level.

Mackenzie Krol

Mackenzie has only recently started (Fall 2010) with Skyeler after several years in traditional dressage training. She looks forward to starting competitions in the Spring of 2012.

Mary Catherine Riley

Natalie Forbes

Natalie came to Angelica Run in the summer of 2011. Natalie will be taking over Erin Murphy's ride "Say Wat" for the 2012 spring season. She is looking forward to competing Moose at the Novice and Training levels, and will be working for Angelica Run South this winter.

Tammy Martin

Tammy started working with Skyeler a couple years ago and recently purchased Skyeler's pony Built Fjord Tuff. She is seriously pursuing the dressage world and is now competing at the Training level in dressage.
